The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.
The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

- General Facility Rules and Regulations
- Southampton Motor Speedway (SMS) is private property. Any person on this property without permission from CRC Entertainment LLC (CRC) is guilty of trespassing and will be charged to the maximum extent of the law. SMS and CRC reserves the right to revoke access to the property to any guest at any time
- ALL GUESTS entering the facility must read and understand the general rules and regulations for the facility and any applicable division rules and regulations. BY ENTERING THE PROPERTY OR ANY PART OF THE RACING FACILTY YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS AND ANY OTHER APPLICABLE DIVISION RULES AND REGULATIONS
- ALL GUESTS entering a restricted area must have proper credentials and sign the appropriate liability waiver
- ALL CREDENTIALS MUST BE VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES!
- Respect others – Excessive foul language, discrimination, or any language determined to be detrimental to SMS, CRC, its sponsors and affiliates, or its racing programs will result in immediate ejection from the facility
- FIGHTING OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate, and possibly indefinite, suspension from the facility.
- Obey all track officials and staff. Verbal or physical abuse of any facility staff or officials will result in immediate and possibly indefinite, suspension from the facility
- Please help keep the track clean by disposing of all trash in approved disposal containers located throughout the facility
- Small children are not permitted to wander the facility unattended
- Alcohol
- Permitted to be consumed on the premise by adults ages 21 and over
- Serving alcohol to minors is strictly prohibited
- Illegal Drugs
- Possession or use of illegal drugs or substances, as defined below, is prohibited in any form, by any guest at the facility or on any ground considered to be used in the operation of the facility including but not limited to parking lots, office areas, fields, track surface, spectator, or restricted areas
- Any person found to be in possession or under the influence of an illegal drug or substance may be subjected to immediate ejection from the facility, suspension from competition or participation in the event, forfeiture of series points or standing and/or suspension from the facility for an amount of time determined by Track Officials.
- Use Common sense!
- SMS and CRC assume no responsibility for lost or damaged equipment, vehicles or any parts by any means whatsoever
- Any participant, driver, crew member, spectator, track official or any other guest who has sustained any injury while on the property MUST report to SMS track officials before leaving the premise. NO claims will be considered if not reported on the day of the incident.
- All guests to the facility will stand at attention during the National Anthem and all cars must be stopped with motor off
- Pets are permitted to enter the facility but must remain on a leash or harness at all times. If a pet is deemed unsafe by a track official it will be ejected from the facility
- Restricted Areas (Drivers, Crew Members, Media, Participants)
- This Section applies to Drivers, Crew Members, and any other guest with access to restricted areas
- Minors under the age of 17 years old must have a Parent or Legal guardian sign a minor release and submit it to Southampton Motor Speedway before Entrance to a restricted area will be permitted
- Unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind will not be tolerated
- General appearance of Pit Areas, Drivers and Crew Members will be neat and clean
- Any driver who does not attend the mandatory drivers meeting may not be eligible to participate in the event unless prior notice is given to a Track official
- If any driver wished to participate in more than one event per night they must pay entry to each event and have the appropriate license if applicable
- Any division that has a division sponsor shall be required to display the sponsors track provided decal on the racecar in a manner acceptable to Promoter and Track officials. A driver failing to display the track provided decal will not be allowed to participate in the event and will forfeit points or payout for that event.
- All car/truck numbers must be registered with SMS
- Any person admitted to the restricted area of the track must obey all rules and regulations set forth by SMS
- No driver or crew member may consume alcohol until their racing events are completed for the evening
- Anyone ejected from the restricted area must leave SMS property completely. Access to the spectator area will not be permitted.
- A track official may remove any person from the premise in any situation to promote the orderly conduct of an event. An ejection is final, non-appealable, and non-reviewable
- No Driver may stop his or her vehicle on track to argue or discuss any issue with a track official.
- Any driver who engages in rough driving as determined by a track official may be subject to suspension. This includes deliberately running into, blocking, or swerving in front of another vehicle or person.
- All used tires must be taken with you at the end of the event.
- 5 MPH IN THE RESTRICTED AREA, STRICTLY ENFORCED!
- If you spill any automotive fluids, you must clean it up immediately. Notify Southampton Motor Speedway event staff of any spills.
- DO NOT dispose of any motor oil, antifreeze, or gear oil in the trash cans or down any drain on the facility.
- Racing Surface
- All drivers should inspect the racing surface and other areas for any defects, obstructions, or anything which, in their opinion, is unsafe and should report that condition to the track official. If a driver finds any surface to not be safe they should not race
- Any driver entering any race event is considered to have inspected the surface and other areas and has found them to be satisfactory.
- NO driver shall compete in any event with head or arm extended outside of a closed body vehicle
- NO race vehicle shall enter the racing premise until the track surface has opened or unless directed to by a Track Official
- No one will be permitted to ride on the outside of a vehicle for any reason at any time
- On board fire extinguishers are mandatory for all events
- Vehicle Inspections
- Any vehicle wishing to participate in an event MUST pass technical inspection before entrance to the racing surface will be permitted
- A driver or crew member of the driver’s team must take whatever steps are required, including disassembly of the car/truck, as requested by a SMS or the Race Director to facilitate inspection of the car/truck.
- All cars/trucks are subject to inspection by an official at any time and in any manner determined by the Officials.
- ALL decisions by the officials regarding the timing and manner of inspection as well as which cars will be inspected are final, non-appealable and non-review able
- Media
- All media who wish to gain access to restricted areas must be registered and approved by hosting organization
- All approved media must attend MANDATORY media meeting
- All media must wear a shirt, long pants, closed toe shoes, and high-vis vest when in media specific restricted areas
- Participant Insurance
- Participants legally entering a restricted area are covered by insurance for specific limits
- When an injury is sustained report to a track official before leaving the facility
- NO claims will be considered unless reported prior to leaving the property that day
- All claims filed for any injury sustained at Southampton Motor Speedway property must be filed through your insurance carrier first. Southampton Motor Speedway is considered secondary insurance to your primary insurance carrier
- Insurance is voided if a participants partakes of any alcoholic beverages, stimulants, depressing or tranquilizing drugs, or is otherwise under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or is suspended or not properly admitted to the restricted area
- Other
- Rules can be amended by Southampton Motor Speedway or CRC Entertainment LLC at any time
- Penalties for violation of any of these rules may result in immediate and/or indefinite ejection from the facility, loss of points, loss of standing, or loss of payout from the event.
- Any participant or entrant found in violation of any of these rules or regulations may be granted an appeal hearing provided the suspended participant requests such a hearing either in writing or electronically
- Facility Rules and Regulations apply to all participants, drivers, crew members, spectators, track officials, track staff and any other guest to the facility
- If there is any disagreement or dispute with the rules and regulations of the facility or any division the interpretation, Track Officials shall prevail
- The interpretation of Southampton Motor Speedway Rules and Regulations by Track Officials shall be final and non-appealable.
- Any driver or participant who performs any act or participates in actions deemed detrimental to Southampton Motor Speedway, CRC Entertainment LLC, its officials, staff or sponsors could face disqualification and/or loss of points, loss of race standing, probation, or suspension. This includes but is not limited to in-person actions on the property, at any event held at the property, or public forums (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik-Tok, or any other social media platform)
- All participants, drivers, crew members, spectators, track officials, track staff and any other entrants to the facility agree that determinations made by Southampton Motor Speedway track officials are non-litigable and they will not initiate litigation against Southampton Motor Speedway, CRC Entertainment LLC, or anyone acting on behalf of Southampton Motor Speedway to reverse or modify and determinations or to recover damages or seek any other kind of relief allegedly incurred or required as a result of such determination, unless the Southampton Motor Speedway track official made such determination for no purpose other than a bad-faith intent to harm or cause loss to a participant, driver, crew members, spectator, track official, track staff and any other entrant to the facility
- If any participant, driver, crew members, spectator, track official, track staff or any other entrant to the facility initiates or maintains litigation in violation of this covenant, that participant, driver, crew members, spectator, track official, track staff or any other entrant to the facility agrees to reimburse Southampton Motor Speedway and CRC Entertainment LLC for the cost of such litigation, including attorneys’ fees and further covenants that in any litigation brought against Southampton Motor Speedway for any reason, the matter will be tried before a judge of competent jurisdiction and hereby waives any right to trial by jury in such action.
- Special Rules and Regulations may be created by Southampton Motor Speedway or CRC Entertainment LLC for an event due to extraordinary conditions
- DEFINITIONS
- SMS – Southampton Motor Speedway – 16388 Southampton Pkwy, Capron, VA 23829
- CRC – CRC Entertainment LLC – Possesses exclusive authorization to grant access to SMS for any purpose and retains full discretion in making all definitive determinations regarding general and all division rules and regulations
- Illegal drugs and substances – Any drugs or substances prohibited by local, state, and/or federal laws
- Guests – Any individual permitted to enter the private property of Southampton Motor Speedway
- Restricted Area – Any section of the facility necessitating special access and credentials
- Credentials – May include, wristbands, stamps, laminated passes, vehicle stickers, or any other method determined by SMS or CRC to effectively manage the access of individuals to both restricted and unrestricted areas within the facility
- Track Official/Track Staff – Anyone permitted by SMS to have authority at the facility
Safety will always come first at Southampton Motor Speedway. Motorsports are fun and exciting but also dangerous. All rules must be strictly adhered to in order to participate in events. Anything found to be unsafe or questionable should be reported to track staff immediately. No refunds will be provided for lost track time due to inability to meet any of the rules and regulations listed above. Exceptions may be given for certain circumstances if the participant discusses their issue with Management prior to the event.
