Event Staff Application

Southampton Motor Speedway is seeking dedicated Event Staff members to ensure the seamless operation of motorsports events at our facility. Event Staff will undertake a range of responsibilities vital to the organization and safety of our races.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Race Director:
   • Oversee the organization and safety protocols of each race event.
   • Exercise authority over all aspects of the race and timing, maintaining a focus on operational excellence.
   • Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.
   • Possess prior experience in a similar role.
2. Gate Worker:
   • Manage traffic flow at the facility’s interior gate, ensuring compliance with paperwork and waivers.
   • Facilitate payment collection and issuance of appropriate credentials.
   • Provide guidance to participants and spectators regarding designated areas.
3. Track Marshall:
   • Monitor driver behavior during competitions, promptly addressing any safety concerns.
   • Implement localized cautions and adhere to flagging instructions from the Race Director.
   • May be stationed trackside during racing events.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform pit and spectator area cleanup tasks.
• Assist with traffic cone setup, collection, and resetting.
• Monitor pit and spectator areas for adherence to rules and regulations.
• Fulfill any other duties assigned by Southampton Motor Speedway management.

Requirements:

• All Event Staff must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on the track, including long pants, closed-toed shoes, and provided Hi-Vis Vest.
• Prior experience in motorsports event management (Race Director ONLY)
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
